Jun. 14 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl Championship rings were unveiled Saturday night at a private team ceremony. They are, in a word, dazzling.

The Glazer Family ownership group spared no time or expense in producing a ring of unequaled class and elegance. As such, the Buccaneers were only the second team in NFL history to turn to the renowned Tiffany & Co. to design and produce their championship rings. The result is a lasting memento that typifies the quality the team has pursued in every area since the Glazers purchased the Buccaneers in 1995.

Fashioned from fourteen-karat yellow gold and blanketed in diamonds, the ring also reflects the spirit and power of the 2002 Buccaneers. The face features a depiction of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the base of which is set with three rectangular modified brilliant diamonds. The trophy is surrounded by 50 sparkling round diamonds set in white gold. The face also bears a football, which is studded with a marquis diamond.

Details of the Bucs’ Super Bowl XXXVII championship are commemorated on the sides of the ring. On one side, the cities of the contending teams (Tampa Bay and Oakland) appear, along with the game’s score date and location (48-21, January 26, 2003, in San Diego, California), and the Super Bowl and NFL shield logos. The ring’s other side displays the player’s name engraved on a banner and captures the team’s spirit with a Buccaneer flag, palm trees and a seagoing pirate ship reminiscent of the ship that stands in the north end zone of Raymond James Stadium.

Super Bowl rings are among the most cherished icons in sports, and the Bucs’ rare collaboration with Tiffany serves to make this ring a true one-of-a-kind. Said Scott Shibley, Tiffany vice president of business sales: "We especially enjoyed applying Tiffany’s renowned quality standards to crafting the team’s wonderful icons that give the ring great dimension and a unique personality."
