2 Unknown whether Parisi was awarded the revived title or won it in a match.
3 Fujinami won the match against Choshu by count-out but refused the belt. Choshu couldn't get to Calgary, Alberta, for a scheduled rematch on 12-Aug-1983 and Fujinami was given recognition as champion. Fujinami gave up the title after a double-DQ against Super Strong Machine on 15-Jul-1985 in Sapporo, Japan. The title was abandoned on 31-Oct-1985 when New Japan and the WWF split.
