Notes

Defeated Wild Pegasus to become the first champion.
Malenko vacates the title for some reason (knowing WCW at the time, for a lame reason).
Awarded the title. Rey Mysterio defeated Jericho on 12-Jul-1998 in San Diego for the title, but did it with Dean Malenko's interference. Malenko was suspended at the time, so the belt was returned to Jericho on 13-Jul-1998.
Defeated Rey Mysterio Jr, Juventud Guerrera, Blitzkrieg in a 4-way match.
Um, yeah. On NTRO they said Psichosis was the new champion, though no match ever took place.
Oklahoma, the satirical Jim Ross guy, vacated.
Defeated Lash LeRoux in a tournament final.
Declared vacant, along with every other WCW title, by executives Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff.
Wins a 6-way match against Juventud Guerrera, Lsh LeRoux, Crowbar, Shannon Moore and TAFKA Prince Iaukea.
Wins title when Daphne pins Tammy in a tag team match between Candido/Tammy and Crowbar/Daphne.
Guerrero, known as Lt. Loco at the time, defeated Daphne and Disco Inferno in a triple threat.
Given the belt by Lance Storm.
Match aired 05-Jul-2001. Kidman defeated Helms, who was going by Gregory Helms at the time.
Match aired 11-Oct-2001.
After the 2001 Survivor Series, WCW was wiped out but the WWF retained the Cruiserweight Championship in favor over the Light-Heavyweight Championship. When Tajiri is drafted on 05-Mar-2002, title became exclusive to the SmackDown! brand.
Match aired on 04-Apr-2002.
Match aired on 16-May-2002.
