|---|---|---|---|
| CM Punk Champion |
def. | John Morrison Mike "The Miz" Mizanin Challengers |
via Pinfall (7:59) |
| Notes: Punk pinned Miz after the GTS. Decent match. Crowd really loved Punk. | |||
| Match #2 - Ten-Woman Tag Team Match (INTER) | |||
| Mickie James Torrie Wilson Michelle McCool Maria Kanellis Kelly Kelly |
def. | Melina Beth Phoenix Victoria Jillian Hall Layla El |
via Pinfall (4:42) |
| Notes: Melina botched her ring entrance, but she attempted it again (and succeeded) to the delight of the crowd. OK match. Mickie came in and was on fire. She kissed Melina and then finished her off with the Chick Kick. | |||
| Match #3 - WWE World Tag Team Championship (RAW) | |||
| Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch Champions |
def. | Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes Challengers |
via Pinfall (7:18) |
| Notes: Murdoch pinned Rhodes after an awesome finishing maneuver. I didn't know he had it in him. I like these guys. Although they lost, Holly gave Rhodes some props. | |||
| Match #4 - Survivor Series Match (INTER) | |||
| Triple H* Jeff Hardy* Rey Mysterio Kane |
def. | Umaga Ken Kennedy Montel Vontavious Porter Finlay Big Daddy V w/Matt Striker |
via Pinfall (22:08) |
| Notes: Matt Hardy was to compete on HHH's team, but due to MVP's attack on SmackDown, he was out. In the pre-match interview, Kane brought up the Katie Vick incident, something I thought would never be spoken of again. But it was amusing. The whole interview was. Kind of old school where each guy got to talk and seemed kind of cheesy. But in a good way. But Kane got jobbed again, being pinned by Big Daddy V at 5:29. Opponents kept coming into the ring and Kane chokeslammed Finlay, giving BDV an opening. Umaga destroyed Rey Rey and pinned him at 9:18. MVP was abruptly pinned by Hardy at 12:51. BDV accidentally dropped the fat elbow to Kennedy. Trips dumped V and then pinned Kennedy at 14:23. After some doubleteaming, Triple H pinned BDV at 15:27. Triple H continued his streak by pinning Finlay at 21:16 after a Pedigree. Triple H dodged Umaga's charge, tagged in Jeff, Pedigreed Umaga, and then Jeff came off the top rope one Swanton Bomb later, it was over. | |||
| Match #5 (SMDN) | |||
| The Great Khali w/Ranjin Singh |
def. | Hornswoggle | via DQ (3:16) |
| Notes: Shane McMahon came out and first introduced Vince and then Hornswoggle. Those two watched from ringside. Before things got going, the crowd chanted "We want Shaq!" to no end, prompting Vince to get on the mic and tell them he didn't care what they wanted. In a bizarre spectacle, Hornswoggle spit green mist into Ranjin's face, and took him down. But when Khali was about to put on the visegrip, Finlay ran in and made the save. | |||
| Match #6 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship (RAW) | |||
| Randy Orton Champion |
def. | Shawn Michaels Challenger |
via Pinfall (17:48) |
| Notes: Shawn could not use Sweet Chin Music, but if Orton was DQed, Shawn would win the title. I don't know why Randy didn't get rid of that fugly title belt. HBK changed his style somewhat, using submission holds like the Sharpshooter, Crossface and ankle lock. The two worked well together, and I liked the match. Shawn can still get it done. After he dropped the elbow, Shawn stomped his feet as if he were going to deliver Sweet Chin Music. Randy covered his face, but Michaels nearly won with a small package. Good psyche-out. But later on Michaels instinctively was going to go for SCM, but at the last second stopped, realizing that he couldn't use it. The moment was all Orton needed, and he landed the RKO. Orton talked some trash, but Michaels kicked him in the chops. | |||
| Match #7 - World Heavyweight Championship - Hell In A Cell Match (SMDN) | |||
| Dave Batista Champion |
def. | The Undertaker Challenger |
via Pinfall (21:24) |
| Notes: Usual HIAC stuff here, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Both men were bloodied towards the end, trading Last Rides and spinebusters. Undertaker was even powerbombed through a table. Undertaker delivered one Tombstone and it was not enough. So he delivered another one on top of the steel steps, which were in the ring. This should have been enough, but Edge, who was inside the cell dressed as a camera man, pulled out the referee. He drilled 'Taker with a camera, delivered a conchairto to 'Takers head, and put Batista over him for the cover. | |||
