Match #1 (SMDN)
Montel Vontavious Porter def. Jeff Hardy via Pinfall (10:12)
Notes: Back and forth match until Shelton Benjamin appeared. Hardy was on the top rope and landed on Shelton. By the time he went back to the top, MVP had recovered and avoided the swanton. MVP connected with the drive-by kick and got the pin. I'm a fan of Montel, so I was pleased with the result. Ballin'!

Match #2 - WWE Intercontinental and Women's Championships - Intergender Tag Team Match (RAW)
Santino Marella
& Beth Phoenix

Challengers
def. Kofi Kingston
& Beth Phoenix

Champions
via Pinfall (5:40)
Notes: -TITLE CHANGES- Beth was in control until Santino went in. He kinda got knocked around a bit. Kofi did this crazy thing where he looked as though he was going to dive through the ropes onto Santino, but he bounced off the ripes instead, while he was in the air. Santino saw him coming and jumped into the arms of Phoenix. It was amusing, and Kofi just laughed at the psych-out. Eventually Mickie took out Santino, but before she could do anything else, Beth took her out and pinned her. Glamarella celebrated by Santino being hoisted up on Beth's shoulders. Too funny.

IN RING: Shawn Michaels came to the ring with his wife Rebecca to announce his retirement. Shawn said the doctor said that he should hang up the boots, and that Shawn was going to follow that advice. Rebecca was crying, and Shawn gave a pretty good speech. It amazes me how Shawn can give so many believable farewell speeches. He was just about to wrap it up when an upset Chris Jericho came to the ring. Jericho demanded that Shawn admit the real reason for his retirement--that Jericho ended is career. After each saying their pieces and staring each other down, Michaels turned to leave. Jericho reached his arm back to hit Shawn, but HBK noticed this and ducked out of the way. His wife, who had already turned her back, was pulled around by Shawn's dodge and took Jericho's punch to the face. Jericho looked disgusted at the whole situation and made his exit as some officals and such tended to Rebecca. Awesome segment.

Match #3 - ECW World Heavyweight Chamionship (ECW)
Matt Hardy
Challenger
def. Mark Henry
Champion
w/Tony Atlas
via DQ (0:33)
Notes: Striker is pretty good on commentary, I think. Unfortunately, we didn't get to hear much of it because of how this match went. Henry bounced his head off the turnbuckle, allowing Matt to land the Twist of Fate. He went for the cover but Tony Atlas pulled out the ref, causing the DQ. Jeff came out to his brother's aid, and the two of them managed to suplex Henry on the mat around the ring.

Match #4 - World Heavyweight Championship (RAW)
CM Punk
Champion
def. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
Challenger
via Pinfall (11:13)
Notes: Kind of a slower-paced match, with JBL dominating for most of it. He just couldn't put CM Punk away. The two knocked heads after a Clothesline From Hell and the back of Punk's head split open. Then literally out of nowhere Punk dodged a short clothesline and lifted JBL up on his shoulders for the GTS. Just like that, it was history.

Match #5 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship (SMDN)
Triple H
Champion
def. The Great Khali
Challenger
w/Ranjin Singh
via Pinfall (9:20)
Notes: Not really that great, despite Hunter's efforts. The most interesting point was seeing such a giant man take the Pedigree. A weird matchup for Hunter, but that's fine. It puts the emphasis on the next two matches.

Match #6 (RAW)
Dave Batista def. John Cena via Pinfall (13:42)
Notes: A really fun match. Lots of back and forth action. Cena even countered a bodyslam attempt into an FU. Batista did catch Cena coming off the top rope and turned it into a powerbomb. Batista was really pissed that Cena kicked out after that, and bombed him again, Batista-style. And that was that. I thought it would have gone on longer, but apparently Cena was injured. So perhaps they had to cut it a bit short. But it was good while it lasted, and the crowd was into it. I only wish they would have saved this for WrestleMania.

Match #7 - Hell In A Cell Match (SMDN)
The Undertaker def. Edge via Pinfall (26:42)
Notes: Is this the first time the Cell has been made bigger? I can't remember. But damn, that thing looks high. Pretty good stuff here. Things got a little crazy when Edge got a running start, launched himself off of the steel steps and speared the Undertaker through the cage wall to the announce tables. The then speared him through the ECW table. By this time they made it back into the cell, and Edge used another camera on 'Taker. Edge gave it everything he had, using ladders and anything else he could find. I think the Undertaker eventually had enough. He chokeslammed Edge through two tables that were set up outside the ring, speared him, smashed the camera on his face, gave him a con-chair-to, and finally a Tombstone piledriver before making the pin. If all that weren't enough, the Undertaker was walking out when he saw Edge moving on the Titantron. So he went back, set up Edge on a ladder, stood up on one himself, and chokeslammed Edge through the mat to "hell".
