Sunday Night Heat Match (RAW)
Spike Dudley def. Steven Richards via Pinfall (2:34)
Notes: Steven Richards' career is over.

Match #1 (SMDN)
Kurt Angle def. Rey Mysterio via Submission (9:20)
Notes: Just like the shirt says, "I'll Make You Tap Out!" That high-flying punk Rey Mysterio was no exception, even with the sneak-attack to start the match. The kid has moves, I'll give him that. Really exciting match to watch.

Match #2 (RAW)
Ric Flair def. Chris Jericho via Submission (10:30)
Notes: Flair won in a somewhat controversial fashion. Earlier in the match, Jericho had Flair in the Figure-Four, Flair grabbed the rope with one hand and tapped out with the other. Oh well. And for some reason, WWE has dubbed over Ric Flair's "2001: A Spacy Odyssey" theme with his old early 1990s WWF theme on every DVD released this year. What's the deal with that?

Match #3 (SMDN)
Edge def. Eddie Guerrero via Pinfall (11:54)
Notes: The Dirtiest Mullet in the Game was robbed.

Match #4 - WWE World Tag Team Championship (RAW)
Christian &
Lance Storm

Champions
def. Booker T
& Goldust

Challengers
via Pinfall (9:37)
Notes: Christian pinned Booker. Damn it. Booker T needs some gold. But when Patrick was knocked down, Test came in and gave the big boot to Booker. Those Un-American bastards!

Match #5 - WWE Intercontinental Championship (INTER)
Rob Van Dam
Challenger
def. Chris Benoit
Champion
via Pinfall (16:30)
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- Geez, STD (not a typo, there) wins the title for the 3rd time already. He blows. Since this was an inter-brand match, Finkel introduced RVD (Raw) and Tony Chimel introduced Benoit (SMDN). Now the IC title is headed back to Raw.

Match #6 (RAW)
The Undertaker def. Test via Pinfall (8:18)
Notes: Since it is a PPV, we got to see the Tombstone! The Undertaker, an all-American symbol, defeteated Test. Too bad the Undertaker should be a dead man who buries people alive. Not exactly the symbol of America we all envision.

Match #7 - Unsanctioned Match (RAW)
Shawn Michaels def. Triple H via Pinfall (27:19)
Notes: As if there was ever any doubt about this one, Shawn Michaels got the victory. A good match, pretty bloody and lots of high spots. After the match, Hunter gave some awesome shots to Michaels with the sledgehammer.

IN RING: Howard Finkel started tooting his own horn again until Trish Stratus came out. She was setting up Howard so Lilian Garcia could sneak behind him and get her shots in. Lilian made her return after Howard threw her to the Island Boyz on RAW several weeks prior. Go Lilian.

Match #8 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship (RAW)
Brock Lesnar
Challenger
w/Paul Heyman
def. The Rock
Champion
via Pinfall (15:59)
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- YES! I knew Rock would lose the title, since he had to go film his new movie, but I wasn't 100% sure they would give Brock the win at a major PPV. I was very surprisd at the clean victory, too. No interference in the decision at all. And it was also nice to see the fans boo the Rock and cheer for someone else. It was also good to see a new Superstar be champion for once.
