Taka Michinoku &
"The Headbangers"

(Mosh & Thrasher)
def. "Kaientai"
Dick Togo
Sho Funaki
Mens Teich
w/Mr. Yamaguchi-san
via Pinfall (6:42)
Notes: Taka pinned Funaki.

IN RING: Sable introduced Mr. McMahon, who came to the ring accompanied by Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Mr. McMahon tried to brace the crowd for the inevitable disappointment later in the evening when Austin lost.

Match #2 - KOTR Round 2
Ken Shamrock def. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett
w/Tennessee Lee
via Submission (24:06)
Notes: Kenny made it to the finals. Too bad it had to come at the expense of old JEdoubleF JAdoubleREdoubleT.

Match #3 - KOTR Round 2
The Rock
w/Mark Henry, Godfather
def. Dan "The Beast" Severn via Pinfall (4:25)
Notes: Henry and Godfather were sent back to the locker room, but reappeared at a convenient time to distract the ref and allow D'Lo Brown to splash Severn. D'Lo wore his chest protector for the first time.

Match #4
"Too Much"
(Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor)
def. Al Snow &
Head
via Pinfall (8:26)
Notes: Christopher pinned Head. Jerry Lawler was the guest referee. Too Much put a bottle of head and shoulders onto Head and then made the pinfall.

Match #5
X-Pac
w/Chyna
def. Owen Hart via Pinfall (8:30)
Notes: Mark Henry came out and splashed X-Pac, and Vader came down and attacked him. Chyna then went into the ring and DDT'd Owen Hart, freeing X-Pac from the Sharpshooter.

Match #6 - WWF World Tag Team Championship
"The New Age Outlaws"
(Jesse James & Billy Gunn)
Champions
w/Chyna
def. "The New Midnight Express"
(Bob Holly & Bart Gunn)
Challengers
w/James E. Cornette
via Pinfall (9:53)
Notes: Gunn pinned Bob.

Match #7 - KOTR Final
Ken Shamrock def. The Rock via Submission (14:10)
Notes: Triple H joined commentary, and Chyna joined Spanish commentary.

Match #8 - Hell In A Cell Match
The Undertaker def. Mankind via Pinfall (17:41)
Notes: One of the most brutal matches in WWF history. Mankind was thrown off the top of the cell and into the spanish announcers' table. Foley wasn't done, since he went back to the top of the cell and was thrown through it to the mat below. After being dropped and chokeslammed onto thumbtacks and Tombstoned, Foley finally had enough and Undertaker pinned him. I think that the footage of Foley flying off the cage will go down in history, right up there with Hogan slamming Andre.

Match #9 - WWF World Heavyweight Championship - First Blood Match
Kane
Challenger
w/Paul Bearer
def. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Champion
(14:51)
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- McMahon watched this match from his owner's box. During the match, the cell was raised and lowered. Eventually, Hebner went down (to no one's surprise) and Mankind attacked Austin. Austin was fighting him off when the Undertaker got involved. 'Taker took a swing at Mankind with a chair, but Mankind ducked and 'Taker hit Austin instead, bustin him open. Hebner recovered and saw the blood, match over and new champion.
