Sunday Night Heat Match
Mark Jindrak
w/Theodore Long
def. Sho Funaki via Pinfall (3:47)
Notes: Theodore came out first and warmed up the crowd for their viewing of the Reflection of Perfection, Mark Jindrak. Jindrak disposed of Funaki with relative ease, even giving him a free shot at the abs to start things off. Jindrak looks like kind of a Narcissist Lex Luger wannabe.

Match #1
Rob Van Dam
& Rey Mysterio
def. "The Dudley Boyz"
(D-Von & Bubba Ray Dudley)
via Pinfall (15:18)
Notes: RVD pinned D-Von. Rey hit both Dudleys with the double 619 and RVD followed up with the 5-Star. Good match.

IN AISLE: Luther pushed out a large box to Kurt Angle's music, and the SmackDown! GM rose out of the box in his wheelchair. Kurt riled up the crowd and then told Torrie Wilson that she'd better win or she'd be fired.

Match #2
Torrie Wilson def. Dawn Marie via Pinfall (6:16)
Notes: Torrie saved her job! Kind a long match considering that neither of the ladies have had a lot of WWE ring experience. Highlight was when Dawn busted out of her pants. But Torrie won with a backslide.

Match #3
Mordecai def. Scotty 2 Hotty via Pinfall (3:02)
Notes: The debut of Mordecai, and I liked it. A white-robed man here to punish all the sinners walking the SmackDown halls. Cool entrance, very ominous music. A white angel of death.

Match #4 - WWE Tag Team Championship
Charlie Haas
& Rico

Champions
w/Miss Jackie
def. Hardcore Holly
& Billy Gunn

Challengers
via Pinfall (10:26)
Notes: Funny match due to all the usual homophobic antics, which included neither Billy nor Bob wanting to start the match against Rico, Rico grabbing a handful of Billy's butt to get out of a headlock, and Bob jumping off the apron, not wanting to take Billy's tag. Gay jokes. They never get old. Shades of "Adorable" Adrian Adonis here. Oh, Hass pinned Holly. Holly went for the Alabama Slam but Rico superkicked him in the chops. He fell down and Haas rolled through for the pin.

Match #5 - WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Chavo Guerrero
Challenger
w/Chavo Guerrero, Sr.
def. Jacqueline
Champion
via Pinfall (4:49)
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- Chavo had previously agreed to fight with one arm tied behind his back. He couldn't defeat the lovely Jackie, so while outside the ring he had his pops untie his arm, but still held it behind him like it was still bound. When his pops then distracted the referee, he surprised Jackie with his newly freed limb and took her out. After the victory Chavo Sr. came over and "untied" his son's arm, and the two celebrated. When Chavo cheats, people boo. When his uncle Eddie cheats, people get off. Go figure.

Match #6 - WWE United States Championship
John Cena
Champion
def. Rene Dupree
Challenger
via Pinfall (9:56)
Notes: Cena's promo wasn't too great. He basically just kissed the LA fans' asses. Dupree came to fight, and there were several near-falls in rapid succession near the end. Cena tossed Dupree into the corner, but Dupree grabbed the ropes and went airborne to try and avoid the oncoming John Cena. But he landed right onto Cena's shoulders and into an FU.

Match #7
The Undertaker
w/Paul Bearer
def. Booker T via Pinfall (11:27)
Notes: Booker T's little sack of dirt didn't help him much. He threw it into Undertaker's face at one point, but 'Taker recovered from that.

Match #8 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship
John "Bradshaw" Layfield
Challenger
def. Eddie Guerrero
Champion
via DQ (23:11)
Notes: JBL made some amusing Mexican jokes to start things off. The L.A. crowd didn't care much for them, and neither did Eddie. Guerrero started off strong, but JBL was able to fight back. Eddie tossed JBL over the announce table, but when his back was turned, JBL grabbed a steel chair and absolutely drilled Eddie. This had to be one of the most "gushing" chairshots I've ever seen. We're talking even more blood flow since Sgt. Slaughter in the '81 street fight with Patterson. JBL looked like he was cut open, but the blood was all Eddie's. He tried to capitalize, but Eddie held on, and even had the fortitude to dance around a bit. Son of Hebner was knocked out during most of this, naturally, but eventually collected himself. Eddie tried for the Frog Splash after a DDT, but JBL rolled out of the way. It was at this point that JBL grabbed the championship belt and a chair. The referee grabbed the chair, and when he was taking it to the other side of the ring, JBL entered the ring with the title. Eddie gave him a low blow and used the title belt on JBL instead. Son of Hebner saw this, and called for the bell. The bout may have been over, but the fight went on. Eddie dished out not one but two chairshots to JBL, and the Texan began to bleed on his own. Eddie was then able to connect with the Frog Splash, but after this the officials decided to come out from the back and break it up. Eddie celebrated as JBL was helped out.
