Sunday Night Heat Match (RAW) | |||
---|---|---|---|
The Hurricane | def. | Steven Richards | via Pinfall (3:00) |
Notes: Won with the Shining Wizard and then the pin. | |||
IN RING: Steve Austin came out and kicked off the show. He said he was going to watch the show from a skybox. He started drinking before he left the ring, and shared one with Tazz at ringside. | |||
Match #1 - Six-Man Tag Team Match (SMDN) | |||
John Cena & "The F.B.I." (Chuck Palumbo & Johnny Stamboli) w/Nunzio |
def. | Chris Benoit, Rhyno, & Brian Kendrick |
via Pinfall (3:56) |
Notes: Palumbo pinned Kendrick (aka Spanky). I don't really care for the FBI, but Cena all the way. Benoit had Cena in the Crossface, Rhyno was out of it somewhere, and Nunzio distracted Spanky. Then Palumbo and Stamboli gave Spanky the Kiss of Death, and Palumbo made the cover. | |||
Match #2 (SMDN) | |||
"La Resistance" (Rene Dupree & Sylvain Grenier) |
def. | Scott Steiner & Test w/Stacy Keibler |
via Pinfall (6:20) |
Notes: Dupree pinned Steiner. Test accidentally kicked Steiner in the face. La Resistance dumped Test, and Steiner was easy pickings. Test was pretty ticked off and jealous when Stacy attended to the hurt Steiner. | |||
Match #3 - WWE Tag Team Championship - Ladder Match (SMDN) | |||
Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri Challengers |
def. | "Team Angle" (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) Champions |
(14:17) |
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- Chavo Guerrero was injured, so Eddie announced before the match that he found a partner, Tajiri. This was probably the best wrestling match of the evening, and certainly the most exciting. | |||
Match #4 - WWE Intercontinental Championship - Battle Royal (RAW) | |||
Christian Challenger |
def. | Val Venis, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Test, Kane, Rob Van Dam, Lance Storm, Goldust Challengers |
(See Below) (11:48) |
Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- Pat Patterson, the first ever IC Champion, was introduced first, and he came out with the title belt and sat at ringside. After Kane was eliminated, he came back into the ring and chokeslammed nearly everyone. Christian accidentally hit the referee with a low dropkick. While the ref was down, Booker T tossed out Christian. But Christian took the belt from Patterson, nailed Booker T, and threw him out just as the referee recovered. | |||
Match #5 - Bikini Contest (SMDN) | |||
Torrie Wilson w/Lilian Garcia |
def. | Sable | |
Notes: Lilian Garcia accompanied Torrie, and sang her entrance theme. Tazz was the MC of the event. The crowd seemed to be split evenly, but Torrie took off her bikini to reveal a smaller one underneath. Tazz then announced Torrie as the winner without even putting it to the crowd. Sable got screwed. She looked quite a bit hotter than Torrie on this night. | |||
Match #6 (SMDN) | |||
Mr. America w/Zach Gowen |
def. | "Rowdy" Roddy Piper w/Sean O'Haire |
via Pinfall (4:54) |
Notes: Vince McMahon came down to help out Piper, but it only delayed the inevitable. O'Haire missed Hogan--I mean America--with a pipe, and America dropped the leg and made the pin. Gowan held McMahon and kept him from breaking up the pinfall. | |||
Match #7 - World Heavyweight Championship (RAW) | |||
Kevin Nash Challenger w/Shawn Michaels |
def. | Triple H Champion w/Ric Flair |
via DQ (7:48) |
Notes: Michaels and Flair started brawling before the match began, and fought right back to the locker room. Nash had the same idea and tossed Triple H around before the bell rang. Triple H got dominated, and saved his title by shoving Hebner down with the sledgehammer. When Triple H was getting assisted to the back by some officials, Nash came after him with the sledge, and ended up putting Hunter through the RAW announce table on the stage. | |||
Match #8 - WWE Women's Championship - Fatal Four-Way Match (RAW) | |||
Jazz Champion w/Theodore Long |
def. | Victoria Trish Stratus Jacqueline Challengers |
via Pinfall (4:48) |
Notes: Jazz pinned Jacqueline. | |||
Match #9 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Stretcher Match (SMDN) | |||
Brock Lesnar Champion |
def. | The Big Show Challenger |
(15:25) |
Notes: How many times do I have to say it: Brock Lesnar is a moron. He choked out Show with some cables that were on the floor, and with the cables still around Show's neck, Lesnar put him on the stretcher and tried to push him past the line. Well, Show fell off the stretcher because of the cables. Dumbass. And then Lesnar pointed to his head as he headed for the back like he had some big idea. Rey Mysterio then came out and gave a cheap shot to Show. Just when Show was going to put Mysterio down, Lesnar came back with a forklift. A suplex and F5 later, Show is on the forklift with Lesnar driving him away. What a joke. |
