| Chuck Palumbo | def. | Chris Masters | via Pinfall |
| Notes: Palumbo is back...never thought I'd see the day. | |||
| Match #1 - WWE United States Championship (SMDN) | |||
| Montel Vontavious Porter Champion |
def. | Matt Hardy Challenger |
via Pinfall (12:54) |
| Notes: Great match for these two. MVP countered the Twist of Fate and subsequently connected with the big boot and Playmaker and got the victory. I didn't care for MVP all that much when he debuted, but ever since he has made a believer out of me. He's got the skills and the gimmick seems to fit him very well. | |||
| Match #2 - WWE Cruiserweight Championship (SMDN) | |||
| Hornswoggle Challenger |
def. | Chavo Guerrero Champion Jimmy Wang Yang Jamie Noble Sho Funaki Shannon Moore Challengers |
via Pinfall (6:58) |
| Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- OK, I have to admit that I predicted the outcome of this match the moment the bell rang. Hornswoggle wasn't originally scheduled to be a part of this match, but he ran into the ring and out again as the bell rang. Which made him part of the match. And I knew there was no reason for him to be there unless he was going to figure into it, and since Finlay was nowhere to be seen, I sat back and just waited for the other guys to take each other out, and for him to sneak in and win the title. Yang went up to the top rope, but Chavo grabbed him and attempted a superplex. Noble at the same time tossed Chavo, and all three went down. Hornswoggle then appeared again and splashed Noble from the top rope and pinned him. I'm glad for the little guy, but the Cruiserweight division is in worse shape than the Women's. | |||
| Match #3 - Singapore Cane on a Pole Match (RAW) | |||
| Carlito | def. | The Sandman | via Pinfall (5:31) |
| Notes: Boy, this was bad. The cane wasn't even used. Sandman finally grabbed it off the pole and took a swing at Carlito. But it was a pretty big whiff that allowed Carlito to land the Backstabber. | |||
| Match #4 - WWE Women's Championship (RAW) | |||
| Candice Michelle Champion |
def. | Melina Challenger |
via Pinfall (6:22) |
| Notes: Candice won with the Candywrapper, her new finisher. It was a standing bulldog. Not a super match here, but way better than most women's matches lately. The effort was there, so I applaud the ladies. And Candice keeps working hard. | |||
| Match #5 - WWE Intercontinental Championship (RAW) | |||
| Umaga Champion |
def. | Jeff Hardy Challenger |
via Pinfall (11:20) |
| Notes: My favorite match of the night. And this surprised me a little bit, because I'm not that big a fan of Jeff Hardy. But it was very exciting to watch, since I had no idea who was going to win. Jeff kept battling back and I thought he was going to do it. But he couldn't overcome the Samoan Bulldozer. | |||
| Match #6 - ECW World Heavyweight Championship (ECW) | |||
| John Morrison Champion |
def. | CM Punk Challenger |
via Pinfall (7:50) |
| Notes: Morrison kicked Punk in he gut as Punk came off the top rope. Yawn. Maybe this was the worst one of the night. At least I like Carlito. | |||
| Match #7 - Texas Bullrope Match (RAW) | |||
| Randy Orton | def. | Dusty Rhodes | via Pinfall (5:41) |
| Notes: Randy was really reluctant to strap on the bullrope. The old veteran gave him a few moves at the beginning, but geez...Randy's about 30 years younger. No way Rhodes was going to hang with him for long. Randy smashed his head in with the bell, and made the pin. Orton was about to make another move after the match, but Cody Rhodes shielded his father. Randy stared him down, but left the ring peaceably. | |||
| Match #8 - World Heavyweight Championship - Triple Threat Match (SMDN) | |||
| The Great Khali Champion w/Ranjin Singh |
def. | Dave Batista Kane Challengers |
via Pinfall (10:02) |
| Notes: Khali pinned Kane. About what you'd expect, here. Kane and Batista teamed up at first, but ended up going against each other. They did manage to put Khali through an announce table, though. Batista was about to win when Khali pulled him out of the ring and tossed him into he steps. Then Khali delivered his powerbomb to Kane and made the pin. Khali actually managed to hold the belt right-side up after the match. Amazing. | |||
| IN RING: King Booker and Queen Sharmell came down to the ring, and Booker was dissing Triple H, aka the "King of Kings". Booker said there could only be one king on Raw, and then turned his attention to "Jerome" Lawler. He berated Lawler a bit, but the altercation did not get physical. | |||
| Match #9 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship (RAW) | |||
| John Cena Champion |
def. | Bobby Lashley Challenger |
via Pinfall (14:51) |
| Notes: Oooo, they gave this the big match treatment. They had all the old stars give their opinions, as well as had Chioda check both men's pads and boots. It was better than I thought it would be, and this may shock some, but I'm glad Cena won. I thought Lashley might even tap out at one point. But it took an FU off the top rope to finish him off. The two shook hands after the match. | |||
