| Match #1 (SMDN/ECW) | |||
| Vladimir Kozlov | def. | Matt Hardy | via Pinfall (8:59) |
| Notes: Better outing than last month for Vlad. Not a bad little match. It was a non-title match, so Matt remained the ECW Champion. | |||
| Match #2 (RAW) | |||
| CM Punk | def. | Rey Mysterio | via (12:15) |
| Notes: CM Punk became the #1 Contender for William Regal's IC title. Regal and the lovely Layla were at ringside to watch the match. Crowd was solidly behind Punk at the end. It amuses me that in any match not involving Rey Rey, no one ever falls and rests their arms on the second rope. Yet, when Rey's in the ring, it happens at least once sometimes two or more times, allowing him to get the 619. Regardless, an enjoyable match. | |||
| IN RING: JBL brought out Shawn Michaels, who accepted JBL's terms of employment. HBK was giving all of his excuses and reasonings when JBL took the mic and stuck out his hand. The two shook hands, and that was it. | |||
| Match #3 - Belfast Brawl Match (ECW) | |||
| Finlay | def. | Mark Henry w/Tony Atlas |
via Pinfall (9:39) |
| Notes: Henry broke the sillelagh over his knee, and then a kendo stick. Hornswoggle was told to stay in the back, and he did for a while. He came out and started climbing the ropes when Finley was thrown into that same corner, knocking him off. Henry even put a garbage can in between him and Finlay, and crushed it in a bearhug. Hornswoggle appeared again, and tossed a new shillelagh to Finlay, who used it on Henry to pick up the win. | |||
| Match #4 (RAW) | |||
| Randy Orton w/Cody Rhodes, Manu |
def. | Dave Batista | via Pinfall (16:40) |
| Notes: Team Lisp shouldn't have been allowed to stay at ringside because the first time Batista got knocked outside the ring, they attacked him. Oh, and ask and ye shall receive. Chioda put them out as a result. It was a good match. It seemed like either could win at any moment. Orton was trying to pull Bastitsa off of the ropes, but Batista held onto them and was able to then counter Orton into the Batista Bomb. | |||
| Match #5 (INTER) | |||
| Michelle McCool Mickie James Kelly Kelly Maria Kanellis |
def. | Maryse Oullet Victoria Natalya Neidhart Jillian Hall |
via Pinfall (4:34) |
| Notes: Maryse is great. Taunting the opponent repeatedly and then going into the ropes so the ref has to protect you. Not as annoying as most diva matches. I just don't know why they have to scream and yell through the whole match. Anyway, McCool delivered an awesome move to Jillian and made the pin. After, The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh came out for the Khali Kiss Cam. McCool took off, and the rest of the red team looked uncomfortable. At least the green team had enough sense to take off right away. Well, Mae jumped up on Khali and they kissed. | |||
| Match #6 - World Heavyweight Championship (RAW) | |||
| John Cena Champion |
def. | Chris Jericho Challenger |
via Submission (12:43) |
| Notes: Well, it was better than their last match. Jericho had a nice counter of the FU into the Codebreaker. Then it was near falls and getting out of finishers. The last one was Cena reversing the Walls of Jericho into the STFU. Jericho had to tap out. Cena was happy, but a good contingent of fans were disappointed. | |||
| Match #7 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Triple Threat Match (SMDN) | |||
| Jeff Hardy Challenger |
def. | Edge Champion Triple H Challenger |
via Pinfall (17:19) |
| Notes: -TITLE CHANGE- Hah. Trips tried to Pedigree Hardy through the announce table, but Hardy reversed it. Triple H then dodged the Twist of Fate and dove out of the way of Edge, who speared Hardy through the table. A few minutes later Triple H Pedigreed Edge, but Vladimir Kozlov prevented him from making the cover. Matt Hardy jumped Kozlov, but Kozlov tossed Jeff from the top turnbuckle before those two fought to the back. Edge set up Trips for the conchairto, but from outside the ring Jeff grabbed the chair and hit Edge with it. Jeff was knocked off by Triple H, though. Edge took another Pedigree, but when Triple H made the cover, Jeff came off the top with the Swanton, covered Edge and won the title. | |||
