The Complete Super Bowl Update Page
July 21, 2005:
I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Over a year-and-a-half after the last update, I reuploaded some of the
pages. Some of you out there know the story of what happened to me, or more appropriately, the site, but
most of you probably don't. That's a story for another time. The pages are coming back
slowly but surely. They're a little messy yet, but I'm plugging away at it. Stay tuned.
December 10, 2003:
Added the Super Bowl XXXIX logo. I haven't updated the updated page in a while. I am still
planning on doing a little more tweaking to various pages, and the playoff stuff, but I've
been working on an other site lately.
February 8, 2003:
Most of the Super Bowl XXXVII stuff is online now. I was putting off doing the play-by-play, because it is a boring page
to do, but it is done.
August 31, 2002:
After some time off, I'm back to updating the game pages. I've added some news items and an archive.
July 25, 2002:
Added the coaching staff for the Super Bowl XXVIII Buffalo Bills. Thanks to Eric Cline for the info.
March 15, 2002:
I've put up the roster and information pages for Super Bowls I through XI. There you can find the team rosters, with
jersey numbers and positions, the coaching staff, and the team schedules for that year.
March 12, 2002:
I'm working on updating the coding on the pages. I will now begin working on the roster pages I do not have up. They
will be up in the coming days/weeks/months/years (hopefully not that long). I want to also add little playoff game
summaries, only like a paragraph, and short histories of the NFL franchises, past and present. Don't look for
those items anytime soon, though.
January 9, 2002:
Thanks to Sean Boardman, I now will be putting up the Team Rosters from Super Bowls I through XI (except for VIII, which I
already have up) that come right out of the game program. These are the rosters as of game time, and other players that
were on the team throughout the year are listed under the "Other Players" section on the team roster pages. Thanks a
big one Sean!
December 17, 2001:
Not much new going on, except that I got a new counter to replace the one that wasn't working for the last 6 months.
I'm going to be putting more detailed info on tie-breakers from past standings, some other information on early games,
and also a playoff history section. That's stuff all in the works.
On an interesting note, I saw that the site was listed on about.com.
It said that my site was "Not one of the greatest looking sites available, but their is a lot of Super Bowl information
here." Well, I never said I was a graphic artist or anything. This is just my hobby. I guess I was a little annoyed
with that comment. But I should also mention that about.com should hire a copy editor. They can't even tell when to use
"there" instead of "their." I'm an English major, I notice these things. Oh well.
August 8, 2001:
Well, I have just added the defensive statistics, play-by-plays, and drive charts for Super Bowls XXV-XXIX. I had to
write to the Pro Football Hall of Fame to get this information. It was by far the hardest info to come by.
April 24, 2001:
Cosmetic changes have been done to SBs 30-32, and the roster pages now feature the coaching staff for both teams,
as well as the team schedules, with dates, scores, etc.
April 21, 2001:
Cosmetic changes have been done to SBs 33-35, and the rosters. Also, my email address has changed.
To reach me, please email Hoffhammer@hotmail.com. There is a link to it at the bottom of each page. Thanks.
February 14, 2001:
Visitors have now reached 5,000! Also the SB35 stuff is mostly up, and the records have been updated.
January 31, 2001:
I know my decision to criticize Ray Lewis may be unpopular to some of you. It is my opinion that Ray Lewis, albeit
a talented athlete and team leader, did not make any plays that changed and/or kept the momentum of the game.
I feel that there are several other players that could/should have won the award. If anyone really loves Ray Lewis and
doesn't like it, tough. Go get your own website.
January 29, 2001:
I have some football games for sale, and the details are to be listed shortly. I have also started
to put up some information from Super Bowl XXXV. Changes/reorganization still continuing.
January 2, 2001:
I have begun some cosmetic changes to the site, and there is more to come. The records section has
been made more navigable, and some more general information has been added. Also, I have several
games available for sale, which I shall list shortly.
March 23, 2000:
Of course, the defensive stats for 1-7, 9-19 are not done yet. I'll do those when I get to them. But
everything else is complete. I'll go back to the drawing board and see what else I can come up with.
But I've accomplished more than I ever thought I would. Enjoy the fruits of my labors.
